Description
Cast iron teapots and teacups were created in ancient China, adopted and refined by the Japanese, and are fundamental to the East Asian practice of brewing loose leaf tea. The style of our Teapots and Teacups is “Tetsubin” and the classic, decorative hobnail style symbolises unity and strength. Through special treatments, impurities are removed from the cast iron during the production process. A coating of gloss black enamel is then applied to prevent the formation of rust.
