Although “yu xiang” means “fish fragrance” there is no fish in this sauce; however, the ingredients combine to evoke the sea, i.e. Chinese umami, the most desirable of all Chinese flavors. You can stirfry this with thinly sliced pork to make “Fish Fragrance Pork Shreds,” one of our restaurants most long-standing dishes. Otherwise, add it to your vegetables or your tofu, for our fish fragrance sauce is 100% vegetarian.

  • Salt, ginger (1%)

  • Modified cornstarch
  • Aecetic acid.
